How long will my blepharoplasty results last?
Blepharoplasty is designed to improve the eye appearance and downplay the effects of aging like wrinkling and sagging. However, as the aging process continues, you will inevitably face the same challenges down the road. Factors like genetics, sun damage, lifestyle preferences, smoking, and facial elasticity will have an effect on the appearance of your eyes over time. An eyelid lift typically lasts an average of eight to ten years. It can also be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures to give you a more youthful appearance. Talk to Dr. Domanskis about the ways you can minimize the effects of aging and prolong the results of your blepharoplasty.

Can eyelid surgery be combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures?
Facial makeovers are very popular for women and men who wish to decrease the signs of aging for a more youthful appearance. Blepharoplasty may be combined with any of our facial rejuvenation procedures for a more dramatic result. Choose from facelift, chin and cheek implants, lip augmentation, minicision lift, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, hair removal, and coronoplasty (forehead lift) for amazing facial recontouring. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Domanskis and his facial cosmetic surgery team to discuss your ideal facial makeover.
What is recovery like after eyelid surgery?
After blepharoplasty surgery, patients can expect to be presentable in about seven to ten days. You will experience some swelling and lumpiness after the procedure, and blurry vision should clear up shortly after surgery. You should refrain from the use of make-up for about five days. Strenuous activity and exercise is usually restricted for two to three weeks. Please note these estimates are just general guidelines and every patient will have a unique personal timeline based on their healing progress.
What are the risks involved with eyelid surgery?
As with any surgery, patients will face certain risks. During blepharoplasty, there is some risk of infection, bleeding, suture cysts, asymmetry, excessive scarring, and anesthesia complications. We will discuss all risks with you before you undergo surgery, make sure you understand what is involved with each risk, and give you recommendations for ways you can reduce your risk and achieve a complication-free procedure.
