Should I choose saline or silicone implants?
The type, size, and style of implant you choose should depend largely on your specific breast augmentation goals. What is my ideal cup size?
Because every body is unique, and you have unique ideas about beauty, your ideal cup size is a very personal decision that has to be made by you. I can, however, show you Before & After photos of women with a similar body type to yours, to give you an idea of your results with certain cup sizes. You can choose a cup size that is just one or two steps up from your current size for a subtle enhancement, or choose a larger size for a dramatically curvier bust. How long will my breast enlargement results last?
Your breast implants can last many years if you are in good general health and take care of yourself. It is not true that you will absolutely need to replace your implants after 10 years - many of our patients have gone for 20 years or more with no implant problems. What are the risks involved with breast enhancement?
Like any surgical procedure, breast enlargement carries some degree of risk. There is always a risk of infection and my staff and I are absolutely meticulous about sterility, to avoid infection and contamination. Other complications of breast augmentation include excessive bleeding, loss of sensation in the breast or nipple, anesthesia reaction, blood clots, wrinkling, implant rupture, asymmetry, and capsular contracture (tightening of the scar-like lining which the body creates around the implant). Before your procedure, I will make certain you are fully aware of the risks and side-effects involved and what is being done to minimize them.

How long is the recovery following breast enlargement?
After your breast augmentation at our Orange County cosmetic surgery center, you will be given detailed instructions for your recovery period. Please make every effort to follow them and do not try to take on certain activities until the timeline permits. It is very important to the healing process that you follow all medication and behavior instructions carefully.

Following surgery, you will experience soreness and discomfort in the treatment area. Pain medication will be prescribed to help with this, and you should see improvement within a few days. You will be asked to rest for a matter of days, and you should be able to resume light activity thereafter, and return to daily activities in a week to ten days. Strenuous activities should be restricted for several weeks. These are just basic guidelines - my team and I will give you specific recovery instructions based on your unique characteristics and type of surgery.

Does breast augmentation affect future childbirths or nursing ability?
Breast augmentation surgery does not have to be postponed until you are finished with having children. Most breast enlargement patients are able to nurse after surgery with no problems.
