I developed this to achieve a rejuvenating re-shaping lift of the face, forehead and neck through several small incisions. This new procedure restores lost youthful vectors by re-suspending, and thereby elevating the tissues that have fallen because of aging.

The Minicision Lift is performed as an outpatient under either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia administered by an anesthesiologist.

No hair is either shaved or cut and no bandages are placed after this procedure.

Contrary to the traditional facelift with its unavoidable scars, the Minicision lifts the deep tissues of the face directly in the opposite direction of their descent (upward) rather than only the skin being pulled from the front to the back. An unnatural result is thereby avoidable.

Although the Minicision Lift is extensive, it is relatively non-invasive and, therefore, the recovery is quicker with the patient usually being presentable within two weeks.

The skin is lifted only indirectly. Therefore, the Minicision Lift works best for the patient that does not have a lot of excess skin but wishes a face, forehead and/or neck rejuvenation with minimal incisions.

With the Minicision Lift, it is possible to "customize" the position or shape of the eyebrows, the shape or slant of the eyes, the fullness or hollowness of the cheeks and alter the neck line.

It should not be confused with the "featherlift" for the improvements with this are minimal at the most and usually not lasting after one month, if that.

Neck Lift-Please see Facelift section which includes a neck lift as part of it. It can be done separately for excess neck tissue. If so, then it can be done as an outpatient under anesthesia administered by an MD anesthesiologist. The cost for this portion is about $1500. My fee is $7500. Usually a minimal bandage like even a cervical collar is placed for a few days with showering possible within five days and any activity after two weeks.

Bleeding can occur, as well as infection and scarring. Sometimes, the bands below the chin re-emerge in several months.
